Bioextrax AB engages in the development and commercialization of bio-extraction platform technology. It develops, tests, and verifies a potent microbial strain that can extract a variety of pure polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA) bio-plastic granules from different PHA producing bacteria. Its technology is based on the selective lysis of microbial cell walls under mild conditions using a novel proprietary microbial isolate. The company was founded by Mohammad Hamed Ahmad Ibrahim and Rajni Hatti-Kaul on February 6, 2014 and is headquartered in Lund, Sweden.
